AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE CHURCH
1. To preach the Gospel in all parts of the world
2. To establish and maintain churches and Missions in Nigeria and in foreign lands.
3. To train, ordain and license candidates for the work of the Gospel Ministry.
4. To establish and maintain parochial, Bible and Religious – Oriented institutions.
5. To print, Publish and Distribute Religious Literature
6. To engage in social and community work by establishing and maintaining facilities for the needy.
7. To acquire and develop properties
8. To promote a sense of understanding and mutual co-operation among the generality of Christians irrespective of their denominational affiliation.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
As members of this church, we believe in the following statement of FAITH:-
(a) The scriptures, both Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God without error in the original writings, the complete revelations of His Will for the salvation of men and divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.
(b) We preach Christ’s birth, works, teachings, crucifixion, resurrection ascension, second coming, millennial reign, white throne judgment new heaven and new earth.
(c) We believe in Divine Trinity. 2 Cor. 13: 14
(d) We believe in repentance toward God. Acts 3: 19
(e) We believe in restitution. Lk .19: 8 – 9
(f) We believe in justification and regeneration. Jn. 3:3
(g) We believe in sanctification (holiness). 1 Thess. 4:3
(h) We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and gifts of the Holy Spirit.
(i) We believe in divine healing.
(j) We believe in the second coming of Christ as literal and visible as His first ascension to Heaven. Acts 1: 9 – 11
(k) We believe in Eternal Heaven and Eternal Hell. Rev. 14: 10 – 11
(l) We believe that marriage is binding for life, except for fornication. (Matt. 19:9). And if the unbelieving partner departs. 1 Cor. 7: 15 applies.
(m) We believe in water baptism by immersion. Acts 8: 38 – 39, 19:5
(n) We believe Jesus instituted the Lord’s Supper and so should be observed. 1 Cor. 11: 23 – 24
(o) We believe in tithing to prove God’s power in supply. (Mal. 3: 7 – 7-10) |
